This book covers most of the essential information about classical music. The book is divided into 5 segments. Each segment is reinforced at the end with a question-answer session and a recap in the continuing segment with nibbles of new information percolating into the novice's mind effortlessly. Apart from Indian classical music which is its main area of study, the book also sketches a brief account of the folk music and other prevalent music systems in India.
It is a slim volume of about 90 pages.
